Entering the specialty steel industry in 1993, Walsin Lihwa produces billets and wire rods, as well as downstream products including straight bars and seamless pipes and tubes. The company is now an international-class manufacturer of stainless steel long products. In 2003, Walsin Lihwa¡¦s Yanshui plant started quantity production and sales of stainless steel slabs and hot -rolled bands to expand into the market of stainless steel flat products. In 2009, the company¡¦s Yantai plant commenced production of stainless steel and carbon steel to increase the annual billet output in Mainland China and Taiwan to near 1 million tons.
Walsin Lihwa incorporates melting, rolling, finishing, peeling, and cold finishing into an integrated operation. It has business presence in Mainland China, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia, including Yanshui and Hsinchuang in Taiwan, Yantai in Shandong, Baihe in Shanghai, and Xian in Shanxi. The Yanshui plant supplies materials to Walsin Lihwa¡¦s plans in Baihe, Changshu, and Xian for processing into stainless steel bars, pipes, and tubes, effectively integrating production and sales to provide great logistic flexibility. Walsin Lihwa is the first supplier of stainless steel long products in Asia.

Walsin Lihwa manufactures stainless steel and alloy billets as well as steel slabs. Billets are rolled into wire rods and straight bars, i.e. the raw materials for hot forged items and seamless pipes and tubes. Walsin Lihwa supplies slabs to cold- and hot-rolling plants for the manufacturing of stainless steel plates and sheets in coil. |

| Stainless Steel Wire Rod |
Walsin Lihwa's annual capacity of wire rods is 140,000 tons, and the company's primary wire rod markets are America, Europe, Mainland China, and Taiwan. These high quality, steadily supplied wire rods are provided to downstream manufacturers for processing into bolts, nuts, screws, drawn wires, and cold-drawn bars. |

| Stainless Steel Straight Bar |
Materials for Walsin Lihwa straight bars are primarily supplied by the company's Yen Shui plant. And straight bar manufacturing locates in Baihe, Shanghai and Hsinchuang in addition to Yenshui. These operations are a combination of a supply chain from upstream to downstream, featuring products of high quality, prompt delivery, outstanding straightness, high precision, and excellent machinability, with annual capacity of 16,200 tons. Products are processed by downstream partners for the use in computers, computer peripherals, industrial and ship shafts, chemical and medical items, with customers primarily in the CNC, lathe, forged fastener, and ironware industries. Existing markets including Australia, Hong Kong, Mainland China, North America, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, and Taiwan. |

| Stainless Steel Quarto Plates |
Walsin Lihwa uses the slabs provided by its Yanshui plant to produce stainless steel quarto plates in Baoji and Xian. These quarto plates are acid-, corrosion-, and high temperature-resistant and used by the chemical, food, mechanical, and shipbuilding industries. Products are widely used in food, medical appliances, nuclear power, petrochemical, and shipbuilding industries as well as heat exchangers and pressure containers. |

| Stainless Steel Slab |
Walsin Lihwa supplies slabs to cold- and hot-rolling plants for the manufacturing of stainless steel plates and sheets in coil. These flat products are widely used in chemical tanks, pipes, heat exchangers, medical devices, food processing, construction materials, kitchen and restaurant utensils, and home appliances. |

| Hot-rolled Stainless Steel Band |
Hot-rolled bands are made by hot rolling of slabs. Some of these hot-rolled bands (black) are processed into industrial pipes, and the others are supplied to re-rollers for annealing, pickling, cold rolling, and skin pass to become No.1 (white) and cold-rolled steel sheets in coil. |

| Precision Foil |
Walsin Precision Technology Sdn. Bhd., set up by Walsin Lihwa in Malaysia, primarily manufactures super thin stainless steel materials with minimum thickness of 0.01 mm and different widths less than 400 mm. These products are the best of their kind and used in hard disk components, LCD frames, mobile handset springs, automobile gaskets, engine components, home appliance parts, foil wraps for optical fiber cables, medical tubes, and electronic components. |
